Flood Response Management | Outreach Rescue
Recent floods have shown that the UK is subject to major flooding events where the impact is immense, both in terms of scale and duration. There are a range of different agencies and organisations that will respond.
This course aims to provide students with a framework of underpinning knowledge to assist organisations to optimise their response capabilities, and to provide perspectives from a variety of responding agencies to enhance students’ broad understanding of the major issues including organisation and resourcing.
A number of speakers from different organisations involved with flood incidents will present and this will expose you to the wider issues associated with flooding including the nature and types of flooding, the different phases of flood and their duration.

| Equipment and Clothing to bring with you | |

The weather in North Wales is heavily influenced by the mountains and it can be wet, windy and cold when outside, so bring warm waterproof clothing with you. For delegates from the Emergency Services, there is no requirement to bring service uniform with you. |
