Emergency Rescue and Recovery from Confined Spaces, water or other industry.
This course is for those who may be required to conduct rescue and recovery operations from confined spaces in the event of an emergency. Prior to attending this course candidates must hold an accreditation in entry to high risk confined spaces.
- Review of confined spaces regulations 1997
- Dynamic and other risk assessments
- Permits to work
- Using rescue equipment safely
- Recovery of casualties
- Basic first aid considerations
- Communication systems
- PPE, BA, escape systems
- Site security for incident investigation
- Decontamination and hygiene
Physically fit for this type of work. Must hold existing qualification for entry into high risk confined spaces.
Assessments will include practical exercises and a multiple choice exam.
Certification is valid for 3 years from date of issue. For those wishing to obtain City and Guilds 6150 – 05/55 certification an additional fee of £40 is payable. For these delegates the pre-requisite of 6150-03/53 High Risk confined space entry is required.
