Ian has led Outreach Rescue since 2008, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of specialist safety and rescue training in the UK and internationally. With over three decades of experience in safety innovation, engineering, and business leadership, he has played a key role in maintaining Outreach Rescue’s reputation for excellence.
Ian is deeply involved in shaping industry standards, serving as Chairman of the Work at Height Safety Association and as a BSI Committee Member contributing to European and British safety regulations. His greatest motivation comes from working with a highly skilled team and continually improving the quality of training delivered to emergency services, industrial teams, and specialist rescue personnel.
UK Group Manager
Sally joined the business in 2007 and has progressed from a sales support role to become a senior leader within the company. With a background in graphic design and communications, she brings creativity and clarity to the way we develop and deliver specialist safety and rescue training.
Passionate about building a positive, people-first culture, Sally is committed to making Outreach Rescue a trusted training provider that helps others stay safe — and work with confidence — in challenging environments. Outside of work, Sally and her husband are avid property renovators, having refurbished five homes (often while living in a caravan during winter!).
Operations Manager
Haf has been with Outreach Rescue since 2012, overseeing all operational aspects of the business. With a background in customer management and education, she ensures that staff, clients, and delegates receive outstanding service.
Her leadership and communication skills help maintain a strong company culture, ensuring Outreach is a great place to work and train. She believes that happy staff create a positive learning environment, which is reflected in customer satisfaction and course delivery.
Facilities Manager
Jim has over 20 years of experience in construction and renewable energy before joining Outreach Rescue. Since then, he has specialised in Confined Space entry and rescue, using his real-world industry knowledge to train professionals.
His expertise in City & Guilds instructor training, industrial rescue, and equipment management ensures that Outreach’s facilities and training gear are always up to the highest standards. He enjoys making complex rescue techniques easy to understand using simple analogies.
Office Manager
With a background in corporate hospitality and catering, Amy was ready for a new challenge when she joined Outreach Rescue. She quickly adapted to the specialist rescue training industry, using her organisational skills to streamline office operations and support both trainers and delegates.
Amy thrives on handling the unexpected, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. She takes great pride in her ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Office Administrator
Sarah brings a strong background in business administration, having worked with the Welsh Government, local businesses, and the private sector. She keeps Outreach Rescue’s day-to-day operations running smoothly, handling course bookings, delegate support, and general administration.
She loves working with people from all walks of life, ensuring that every delegate has a seamless experience when booking and attending specialist rescue training courses. Over the years, she’s built strong relationships with many returning customers and trainees.
Marketing Manager
With a background in broadcast media and content marketing, Paul brings a wealth of experience in communication and brand development.
He enjoys the challenge of working in the vocational education sector and takes immense pride in showcasing our commitment to compliant certification, "real-world" training environments and our experienced and highly respected training staff.
Graphic Designer
Killian brings over 11 years of experience in graphic design, supported by a Master’s in Digital Marketing from Liverpool John Moores University. His expertise spans branding, visual communication, and user experience, and he has delivered more than 500 design projects for international corporations.
Since joining the team, Killian has focused on making our training materials clearer, more engaging, and easier to understand — using design to support communication that truly makes a difference.
Finance Officer
Nel brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, accounting, and business management across the public and manufacturing sectors.
With a Master’s in Business Administration, part-qualification in CIMA, and fellowship in the International Association of Bookkeepers, she plays a key role in financial planning, reporting, and system implementation at Outreach Rescue. She’s supported smooth transitions between accounting platforms and ensures financial returns are completed on time, helping the business operate efficiently and compliantly.
