A certificate of completion, NAEMT AHDR provider card valid for 4 years, and 8 hours of CAPCE-accredited continuing education. CAPCE is a USA-based EMS education standard recognised internationally, though not required for UK practice.

Delivered at any Outreach Rescue training facility or pre-approved external locations with facilities for scenario-based learning.

Medic Skills

NREMT recognition does not grant authority to practise in the USA. UK learners must meet US training, immigration, and employment requirements separately.

A one-day NAEMT certified classroom-based course preparing EMS practitioners and responders to safely manage medical care during any type of disaster or mass casualty incident
The NAEMT All-Hazards Disaster Response (AHDR) course is an 8-hour, CAPCE-accredited classroom programme designed to equip EMS practitioners and emergency responders with the skills and confidence to deliver patient care during disasters. Using a systems-based approach, the course covers the medical, logistical, and interagency challenges of incidents including natural disasters, terrorist attacks, pandemics, and infrastructure failures. Through structured scenarios and a final mass-casualty simulation, learners apply scene assessment, triage, and coordination strategies to realistic disaster environments
Compliance

Aligns with national incident management systems and emergency preparedness guidance. CAPCE-accredited and NREMT recognised.

Previous knowledge

Basic knowledge of patient care and emergency procedures is recommended. No prior disaster-specific training is required.

Requirements

Learners must be capable of participating in scenario-based activities involving triage, PPE, and simulated emergency care. Open to all EMS levels.
