Description
This course equips emergency care practitioners with the clinical knowledge and practical skills needed to assess and treat ill or injured children in pre-hospital settings.
The NAEMT Emergency Paediatric Care (EPC) course provides emergency responders with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills to manage critically ill and injured children in the field. Now in its 4th edition, EPC offers a structured approach to rapid paediatric assessment and highlights key differences in paediatric anatomy, physiology, and responses to illness or trauma. The course combines theoretical input, practical scenarios, and skills stations, with emphasis on family-centred care and the use of the Paediatric Assessment Triangle (PAT) to guide clinical decision-making.
