Out of Hospital Adult Immediate Life Support (OOHILS)
Goal
To enhance the clinical performance and confidence of learners responding to adult medical emergencies in prehospital and out of hospital environments.
Target group
Emergency care providers, ambulance support workers, associate ambulance practitioners, registered healthcare professionals, and those in specialist military or emergency service roles.

Description
A regulated Level 4 qualification developing advanced immediate life support skills for professionals working in out of hospital or prehospital emergency care.
OOHILS is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification is designed to optimise the response of healthcare professionals and emergency responders to adult medical emergencies outside of hospital settings. Over one day, learners will enhance their clinical decision-making, teamwork, and practical skills in patient assessment, airway management, resuscitation, and post-arrest care. Based on current Resuscitation Council UK and JRCALC guidelines, the course ensures learners meet the CSTF Levels 1–3 for Adult Immediate Life Support

Previous knowledge
Learners must hold a Qualsafe Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 4) or higher (e.g. Paramedic, Nurse, Allied Health Professional).
Requirements
Minimum age 18. Learners must be clinically trained and capable of performing practical assessments including airway management and resuscitation without assistance.
Progression
Supports development towards advanced qualifications such as Level 5 Diploma in First Response Emergency and Urgent Care (FREUC 5) or further prehospital care training.
