Age 18+. Delegates must be fit for physical training requiring the delegates to be competent in all Water Rescue Technician (Mod 3) skillsets.
Recertification is recommended every 2 years by means of re-attending this course.
- Classroom sessions cover the basic theoretical elements, such as associated hazards of vehicles in water, incident management and planning.
- A course manual is issued.
- This course is predominantly practical, involving sessions demonstrating hydrological hazards and management, vehicle stabilisation techniques, safe vehicle access techniques (at Mod 3 level) and casualty extraction and management.
