Safe Work at Height - Supervisor

This course is suitable for anyone who Supervises persons involved in, or affected by, work at height activities.

Course content

Candidates will develop practical skills and theoretical understanding in a range of areas:

• Detailed knowledge of required duties under relevant legislation and good practice guidance
• Recognition of hazards and risks
• Risk assessments, safe systems of work and rescue planning
• Development and motivation of personnel in working safely
• Education and appraisal of personnel
• Attachments, anchors and loadings
• PPE selection and application
• Maintaining knowledge of current regulations, standards and relevant incidents.
• Equipment inspection

Safe Work at Height Competent person / inspection.
 

Course Duration

1 day (8 hours)
 

Assessment/Qualification

Assessments will take the form of a practical test and a written examination.
 

Certification

Certification is valid for 3 years from date of issue.
