To provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to deliver inclusive and engaging education and training sessions, while understanding key teaching responsibilities and learner assessment techniques.
This qualification is designed for; individuals considering a teaching or training role in further education; Current trainers or instructors seeking a formal teaching qualification; and Assessors looking to expand their skills into teaching.
Nationally recognised qualification for those entering the teaching profession.
No formal teaching experience is required, making it accessible for aspiring trainers.
Practical microteaching assessment enhances the hands-on learning experience.
This qualification aligns with both the National Occupational Standards for Learning and Development and the 2022 Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers in Education and Training.
There are no formal prerequisites. However, learners should have relevant subject knowledge in their chosen teaching area and a minimum Level 2 English proficiency is recommended.
Delegates should be 19 years of age or older and have completed an initial skills assessment. Participation in a microteaching session is also required.
Successful completion of this course may choose to progress to further Qualsafe teaching/training awards such as Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (RQF), Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (RQF) or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (RQF).
