Water & Flood Rescue Boat Operator Recertification

Goal

To recertify technicians' competency in safely operating powered boats and associated equipment in various water conditions.

Target group

Personnel whose Mod 4 award requires recertification.

Highlights

The training environment consists of demanding powerful and fast moving water which satisfies the FRCO 2025 requirements of imitating spate flooding conditions rather than being just Cat B or C waters which would not adequately prepare a powerboat operator.

Includes night-time exercises to simulate real-life conditions.

Aligns with DEFRA FRCO 2025 and NFCC Rescue Boat Code Mod 4 standards.
